Inner conflicts are a bummer. The successful people have overridden them somehow and their conscious efforts are going hand in hand with their subconscious drives. Life coaches do exactly that, making sure that we no longer sabotage what we consciously long for.
Success may be guaranteed for those who get their arms around their inner programming, but happiness is not.the body, mind world matrix will always fall short in the end. True happiness con only be found if we open up to love and peace within. We have to get the aspiring self out of the Way.
New age spirituality appeals to the conscious level, whereas the religions of the past also appeal to the subconscious. A modern day spiritual seeker may be as unfulfilled as modern day man because he is unable to integrate his inner drives and negates them in the name of spirituality.
The opportunity is integration of conscious seeking and subconscious belief sets, fears and longings. “Give the emperor what is his and God what is Hers”, would be my advice. The inner conflict and the problem faced in real life is the opportunity to make whole. Eventually, holiness will follow.
We are love and peace. We just haven’t quite gotten our arms around this realization.
