When I look out into the sun-filled landscape I see diamonds swaying in the wind. No photograph can do this beauty justice; a skilled painter might capture the timeless moment. Thoughts come to a standstill. The distance between man and nature ceases to exist. The power of now cannot be communicated in words.
Love captures the essence of the timeless moments when I hold hands with her. The smile of the children or the belly-laughter of a good friend might come close. We have to see, feel and grasp it. When we want to do unto others as we want them to do unto us we start distorting the truth. Compassion can still the mind too.
The eyes can spot truth, that’s what Zen Buddhism is after. It’s the moment when the dual merges into one; it is the time when we realize that the snake in the dark room is just a rope. The third eye is the symbolic expression of our ability to see the key that truth puts for us into the mind-generated picture to break free from it.
A still mind is open to receive the downloads of truth. Our seeking mind cannot get its arms around truth, but a still mind is a perfect receiver for these downloads from a higher dimension. The crown chakra is vibrating when truth is received. You can feel the tingle of the rising energy in your neck and head; a seeing, feeling and receiving of truth.
When Mooji—to name just one skilled new age teacher—addresses his audience he dials into a frequency that connects us to these higher prevailing energies, at least for the time of sat-sang. We are a medium for these higher energies. We carry a perfume that connects others with truth as well; that is, when we are connected.
How can we be full of truth all the time? I don’t know, what made me look up and merge with these sparking diamonds in the autumn sky that moment? There might always be an element of Grace when it comes to truth. When we can’t see, feel or grasp truth, at least we can learn to examine the self-imposed interferences.
Life is designed to set the truth free. Open up to it and be free!
