There seems to be two kinds of seekers: those who seek their ego something other than it it is, i.e. holy, happy, unselfish, and those who understand that all such attempts are just gesticulation and play acting, that there is only one thing that can be done, which is to dis-identify themselves with their ego, by realizing its unreality, only by becoming aware of their eternal identity with pure being.
Wei Wu Wei
I have little to add other than cautioning not to make a spiritual finger pointing out of Wei Wu Wei’s insight. There is no harm to set out to better yourself or improve your surroundings. The opportunity is mindfulness and self inquiry: keep asking, ‘who is improving?’, ‘who is enjoying?’
