The Limits of Our Mind

Whenever we come across some issue, we always set up a conclusion or goal, and think we can only be happy when we achieve this goal.  After setting up this goal, we will work hard to achieve it, and feel frustrated and powerless if we fail to do so.  However, whether we achieve this goal or not, it is irrelevant to our underlying problem..

Our mind always thinks in limiting ways, and then we feel stuck, and then we try to run away. Because we already set up a dead end for ourselves, that’s why we cannot achieve it, and are then we get stuck in struggles, conflicts, resistance, and escape.

When an issue arises, we think we need to achieve our goal in order to be happy. Just thinking this way limits how we approach our issue. Also, we are often more interested in achieving some state but not in learning. And this behaviors is related to our fears and need for security.  If we don’t try to know our fear, these patterns will repeat itself.  It is not so difficult to know our fears, it’s the desire to escape to make learning difficult.
