Do you have a farm or a field nearby? Here is the northern hemisphere there is little to see. The ground is barren, yet, come summer and autumn—with a little divine help—the yield of the crop will be once again be plentiful. What seems like stagnation today is in fact resting and laying the ground for a new super crop.
I remember the time when I felt stagnation at work. The period lasted almost a decade. I had a good salary and interesting work, but no matter how hard I worked I always felt I was running into a cement ceiling. An astrologer at that time remarked that I was laying the foundation for something much bigger and better. How right he was.
Some of us may feel that after the initial Awakening phase we are treading water. This has to be expected. It’s easy to say, “you are not your body”, but harder to override the conditioning of a 100 generations. It is true that break-throughs do not happen in time but only here and now, yet, give the system a little time to let go of the conditioned past.
A spiritual quest is not a “waiting for Godot”. You must have observed that what the ego story calls stagnation has in fact many divine moments. The Light always shines through, independent of what story the ego comes up with. When the harvest is ready you have access to the same Light. Liberation is when there is no self around providing any commentary.
Let’s get ready for the harvest mate. Hard work always pays off, especially when it comes to doing God’s work.
