Silence is a prerogative

 We cannot say “no” to ego,

for we are the one who says no.

We cannot say “yes” to what lies beyond self,

for the entity trying to affirm is also the self entity.

 

We can watch the individuality slip away here now though.

Why are the masters silent and ponder before acting?

It’s because they want to hear Oneness speak.

We can do that—silence is a prerogative.
