Body, mind and world are One

I went for a drive this morning. “Driving” as a verb came to my mind. No driver, no car being driven, no destination to arrive to, just “driving” as a unity. I feel we spiritual philosophers are quite arrogant. We feel a bit more enlightened than the ordinary folks, yet, everyone is often doing what they are doing, merging with life as is with no subject doing it and no object being worked on—just a system in equilibrium with a commentator attached.

In Oneness body, mind and world are one system. We get hungry. We know what we want. We pick up the car keys and get what we want to eat. Our GPS is telling us the most efficient route and we are merely an instrument in getting the job done. Most of life unfolds that way, facing life as is with a “choice-less awareness.”  We don’t need to be enlightened to show up for the job in question. Everyone does it and doesn’t think much about it.

Nietzsche claimed in “Beyond Good and Evil” that language instills the misleading notion of subject and object in us. Maybe, but seeing undoes this bias. We can literally see the play of Oneness at work. Ask when there is a problem, who has it. See when “you” get excited who is passionate and why. We can always get to the root cause of every happening that we attract in our live and investigate the reason why we attracted it in the first place.
