It is impossible not to believe what you see, but
it is equally impossible to see what you do not believe.
A Course in Miracles
Awakening was something like a honeymoon period.
“How come I never noticed this before?” I asked, and,
“How come other people do not see what I do?”
The Christ-inspired “A Course in Miracles” sums up what I experienced perfectly. The Spirit world is orthogonal to the conditioned mind. Someone who is deep down inside driven by greed, hate, guilt, regret, anxiety, cannot perceive this world of serenity, love and abundance that is always right in front of us. The problem, however, is that for most this awakening is a partial breaking free so that these spiritual aspirants have one foot in one world and the other in the mind-made matrix. What to do?
It’s very simple actually. Whenever we feel that our heart is constrained, whenever we carry this feeling of scarcity around, whenever we cannot feel the love, it’s time to review our underlying beliefs and polish the lenses we are looking through. God is always right where we are. It is us who wear blinders that we are at liberty to remove them. Awareness is, and if for some reason we cannot connect with these higher prevailing energies, we have the opportunity to get in touch with the greed, the hate, the guilt, the regret, the anxiety, and feel it, understand it and let go of it. After all, if we can’t see God’s Kingdom in front of us, let’s review what we believe in instead and learn to see through the illusion.
That way the adjustment is complete. We may never be able to step completely out of our conditioned mind, but we are almost free. The “I Am” moment is always right next to us.
