The Magician's Way

Have you ever wondered whether you could be the next Son or Daughter of God? In today's age, what does it mean to be enlightened? I remember someone in the Personal Development for Smart People forum asking whether you would be ready for the many who seek your advice and your healing power. Actually, I am not sure about that. We already had the Buddha and Christ, perhaps in today's age it means something entirely different to live the Tao.

These thoughts came to my mind when I read a book, Men as Symbols, of a somewhat obscure German philosopher, Count Keyseling, who was quite popular in the 1920s. He described the new creators as magicians who express with their being the Zeitgeist, i.e. the spirit of our time. These creators are pretty much everywhere: on Wall Street, the White House, in schools and on soccer fields. They are surrounded by light, mostly at ease as they magically can manifest whatever they desire, but capable and willing to share the burdens of the suffering. It's like a secret club, only few know about their existence, and it would never occur to them to make their presence publicly known.

The title of this note is from a fictional book I really liked, The Magician's Way, by William Whitecloud, who described the initiation of man who was struggling with his career and marriage and was taught by a society of magicians who mastered the secret and were happy to share it with him. Have a look at the book and decide for yourself whether you might one day have it your magic way as well.
