Several paths lead to the Unknown. The first one we all have read so much about: the gurus, the masters, the Christ, the man-Gods and Gods. If this path had to be summed up in one word, it would be love. Where there is pure love and stillness, the Source opens up.
But there is a second path, the journey of the mind. You don't have to believe in anything, and you can still experience a force that you can follow as long as your curiosity and openness for change remains. Like the path of love before, this Tao will lead you to the Unknown as well. All the scientific minds in this community can experience it as well, you only need to have faith in what you see and experience. I would argue that Buddha was one of the first spiritual scientists. I love the description Deepak Chopra gives in his Buddha book: after years of deep meditation and unbelievable sacrifices, Lord Krishna Himself walks up to him. The Buddha says "Mylord, you have no idea how much I have longed Thee". The blue Lord replied "I know". Then the Buddha says, "But now please walk on, I still have a lot of work to do."
Do you know the expression, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear? There is a fabric, a holy connection, a Tao that ties us all together. This force can be explored and experienced. This is not a scientific road in the sense that is can be experienced and studied by others, it is your own idiosyncratic journey, your private scientific experiment. Along this path, symbols you have chosen for yourself will be explained to you and at times redefined. Errors you have made in past will be explained and undone. This journey will make your mind pure again so that you can see everything in the right way until you are able to discover your brother and sister who came along the other path. The heart and the mind are one, brought together by the Tao.
