Ego Surfing

You are your hopes, your feelings, your thoughts, your fears, etc. Some say that sometimes when you are really still you can feel the unity with others, but most of the time you perceive yourself as isolated. You also realize as you get a little older that there is a force inside yourself that takes you for a ride. You literally oscillate between megalomania and humility, between egotism and concern for others. So what to do if you get tired of this merry-go-around? Well, you cannot ignore your desires and aspirations, otherwise you would only fall in a big depression. On the other hand you also have to watch out for the quite voice inside yourself; your soul connection and the feeling of oneness. What I would recommend is ego surfing! You ride the wave of going with your desires, but as the wave has reached the right height you turn the board around and go in the opposite direction. Again, as the wave becomes small you set yourself up for the next expansion, etc. As you oscillate between the two forces you get a better idea about what exactly drives you. You are the one who listens to both voices inside your head and decides what to do next. Let's hope that the waves lose their strengths over time until you realize who you really are.
