Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

I remember once saying to a colleague "perhaps you can have your cake and eat it too after all". He smiled knowingly and responded "Well, why don't we agree on every cloud has a silver lining instead." He is right. Everything you aspire to have comes with a cost attached. In the end successful living is about defining your goals and making the right choices to get there. Sometimes you do realize in the process that certain goals are just not worth manifesting, or that you find a different creative outcome that satisfies the same psychological need in a different way. I strongly believe that the Tao will always find a way to allow yourself to reach the state of happiness that you visualize for yourself as long as you are realistic about it. How to get there you might ask. Well, just focus on the fact that every cloud has a silver lining.
