Free Will

What if you only think you are free to choose, but in fact are driven by forces out of your control, and there is an institution deep down inside of yourself that makes the decisions and let's you think that you made a rational choice. I have heard of experiments when people were told in a trance that in their next professional meetings they should get up and water the plants. They promptly did and when asked afterwards why, they came up with all kinds of reasons for their odd behavior such as, "the plants suddenly looked really thirsty".

Star and moon constellations drive our behavior, if you are just a little sensitive you can study your monthly mood swings. The complete lack of a free will seems hard to accept. After all, why bother if everything is predetermined! No, you are able to say good-by to the 'robot' but it requires work. The spiritual path is here to lead you to this autonomy, but you have consciously let go of many things that instinctively attracted you: "That which is like poison at first, but like nectar in the end", as the Gita states.

You may ask why to let go of something you enjoy? Well, you have to understand what symbol stands behind your desire. The universe is here to teach you that You are Him, but you can do that only if you discover the power of love and let go of the love of power. Your spiritual path will explain the hidden subconscious agenda and as you learn to reprogram yourself and embrace love whole-heartedly, your will will finally be free!
