A Little More on Pain
I was reading my Blog from yesterday and found it, though still quite accurate, a little vague. So the spiritual path traveler has to embrace and feel pain like everybody else, but what exactly is it that is hurting us inside along the path? Well, it is the realization, or the necessity, of taking all of life's forces in without a shock absorber. We don't do fantasies any more because life forces us to live in the now. We don't use narcotics, sex or coffee to drowse our feelings or jump-start them, just because we are unable, there is a force that tells us to abstain from them. We feel the energy of every person who steps into our path and experience it full force. Yes, we are swimming in a sea of positive energy most of the time, but we are also shock absorbers when we deal with negative energy. Lastly, as I already said yesterday, we try to take life's lesson and try to absorb them like therapy sessions for the very reason that we have learned that the reward is waiting around the corner, as well as the fact that we have no choice anyhow. No, the more I reflect on my experience as well as that of my fellow travelers, the more I realize that we are exactly like everyone else with perhaps the only advantage that it increasingly dawns on us that we don't really have a choice
