My hunch is that spiritual path traveler experience time compression. Normally, we have no clue what feedback our actions have since Maya time introduces a lag between our actions and the time when we experience the feedback mechanism. But if time gets compressed for the spiritual path traveler, you start experiencing what impact your actions have in an universe that deep down inside is based on oneness. In this fantastic experiment you want to experience and study these feedback mechanisms. So every interference you impose on the system only creates confusion and before you know it you find it in your self-interest to cut them out. That's how you converge with the religious notion of holiness. Every step you take gets more and more pure until interferences have been cut out of your life altogether.
