If it wasn't for our friends and children

How often would marriages break over the day to day stress if it wasn't for the thought 'This child will grow up with the feeling of security and love'? How often would one quit work if it wasn't for the realization that one builds and mentors people and that these friends need your guidance right now? How often would one walk out of a friendships if it wasn't for the memory of this friend being there when you needed help? The spiritual community says you can always experience love and peace, but at least in my experiences pretty much everyone hits rough patches along the way. Choosing love in those challenging times is easy if you are embedded in a network of friends and family. Think of it as a giant network of your spiritual siblings who hold on tight at a time when your ego is raving. Embedded in this network of love you are enabled to let go off your psychological burdens without hurting yourself and anyone else. Let them help you choosing love despite yourself.
