Dissolving Dark Energy

Energy cannot be created or destroyed, but it can be changed.
Law of Conservation

Perhaps you can think of your shadow as energy that was never truly allowed to flow through your system. Something inside is just stuck and all you can observe on the surface is that there is a desire or a tendency you don't approve of. So either way you are doomed, express it and you will beat yourself up over it, or fear negative consequences. Repress it an you feel that a part of you just withers away. But as we travel to the light all these " energy knots" will have to dissolve. So shadow work is very much part of a spiritual path as well.

Shadow work is so complicated because it touches on the demands and cravings of the "I" as well as your notions of the True Self, the stuff that supposedly you should be doing or should be feeling. If you are agnostic about God, all you will perhaps be aspiring is to become "normal" like the fellow next door, though the question is, do you really know what the fellow next door is experiencing? But when you are spiritual there will be a voice in your head commanding that removing this dark corner inside of you is a precondition for experiencing God. Well, who knows? Perhaps you have the dark corner inside of you for it will lead you straight to God. That is how the Tao tends to work. Everything that happens to you, just as everything that ever has happened, prepares you perfectly for your home coming.

One way of stopping the war inside is to accept that you have the desire. Perhaps your notion of God's commands are too narrow and you could just live happily expressing whatever it is the " I" wants. The energy is inside it has to come out, so repression is not an option even though it seems to be the "holy" thing to do. Holiness is reached via wholeness. Accept that your "I" wants whatever it is and accepting everything about you is the way towards wholeness.

Express what you feel you must and transmute what you think interferes with your spiritual path. The Course in Miracle states "Sacrifice is a notion totally unknown to God." So you have a problem that requires a solution. Welcome to the club, we all have been there. But if there is no way that you will not find a way to become whole. Along a spiritual path everything that you experience is perfect, so if your path exists a solution to your shadow problems must be out there. Go and find it! Your dark spot defines the "you" that you think you are and on your path and the divine light will shine your darkness away. Find a way to circulate your spiritual energy and your demon will fade into nothingness.
