but he who knows doesn't talk.
That is what Lao-Tzu told us,
in a book of 5000 words.
If he was the one who knew,
how could he have been such a blabber mouth?
(Po Chue-i, poet and comedian)
Legend has it that Lao-Tzu and his followers were invited by an Inn-keeper to stay, but as a payment he demanded the book that turned out to be the Tao Te Ching. Lao-Tzu apparently realized that it was now time to share his present with the world.
We are all captured by our ego and we all choose our way to deal with it. As Alicia Keys puts it in "If I Ain't Got You Baby": Some people live for the fortune, some for the fame, some for the power and some just to play the game. We are all on a journey to live out "It". Everyone needs to be congratulated on their journey. We do what we do and we burn the fire that is inside so that one day we truly have a shot at being free and serene.
Our driving force may be subconscious but we have a conscious choice in which direction the engine is supposed to take us. I am with Alicia on this one, "Some people want it all, but I don't want nothing at all if I ain't got You!" Lao-Tzu was full of It as well after studying the yin and yang of life for decades. It is our mission to share the presents of the Tao. What is your mission?
