Mindless Reality

Part of our suffering comes from our mind.  Our mind lives in a fantasy world and we wrongly identify with it. We have expectations how life should be; it is as if we always want the weather always to be sunny and pleasant. We spiritual folks think we should always be loving and peaceful, but when life decides otherwise we feel attacked and annoyed. The problem statement is not life per se, it is the working of our mind instead.

We suggest to run a little experiment. Try to face life just for a day with no expectation whatsoever and see how the day shapes up for you instead. Matthew 18:3 comes to mind when Jesus said, "Verily I say unto you, unless you become like little children you shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven." Try this openness and excitement towards what is rather than what should be. You are likely to experience a completely different world.

We cannot control anything that comes our way. Just accept the emotions that flow through you and experience life to the fullest, rain or shine. Let life unfold and enjoy the ride. Your mind can later piece the impressions together to a meaningful story.
