Magic Connections

Her eyes lit up, and her radiating face was all smiles. Just one hour ago she was totally different.  She looked tired, confused and old.  It almost looked like the energy of life had left her.  But now she is sitting here, beaming like a little girl. You couldn’t help wondering what exactly has changed in this one hour.

She grew up in a happy and supportive family.  Her life is a perfect example of how life is supposed to be, good parents, a good education, good heath, great looks, a promising career, material abundance, a good marriage and talented and healthy kids. Wouldn't you conclude that she is on top of the world? She has seen the world; has tasted and experienced the best. So why was something suddenly off?

She had no idea what had gone wrong in her life. After all, she had it all and there is no reason why she should be unhappy. She came to me and was looking for help. So I listened to her and understood what she was going through. It was easy, I had been in her shoes before. I sat with her and just listened. Actually, I didn't worry that much about her, she seemed to be doing much better than I did at that time. After one hour of spending time with a dear friend, her teary-eyed face bursted out laughing and her eyes lit up again.

Can you imagine what has changed in that one hour? It is the magic power of achieving a deep connection, with yourself, with a friend and with the problems at hand. It is the ability to listen, to understand and to accept. This deep connection has a magic power of healing. Deep down inside we all are eager to connect with our soul and our Self. Sometimes it takes a phase of alienation and struggle to look for this divine connection again.

Many of us have lost the ability to connect with our Self. When this connection is missing, we feel there is something off even though "objectively" there is nothing wrong. For the longest time we think that if we only reach our goals, our aspirations, we can be finally happy. But alas, even if we finally get what we always ran after, we will still not be happy! Whatever we may have achieved, wealth, fame, a promotion, earth-shattering sex, the partner of our dream, our happiness is still elusive. Soon we get back to our old depressing self and the restlessness starts again,

On this afternoon my friend intuitively felt that this  connection to our Self is all that really matters. A friendship can provide a glance, a special place or a moment in time can give you a glimpse. Once you feel that connection never let go - it is the only thing that matters in this world. We sincerely invite you to experience it!  Why don’t you join us and learn the magic of connecting to your Self?
