The Art of Letting Go

Do you feel that you are always running out of time and that the to-do-list is never getting any shorter?  Do you feel that there is never any fun and that life is just full of struggles? If these issues sound familiar to you, we invite you to take a closer look at all those supposedly must-do activities. Is it really that important to keep your house spotless?  Do you have to fill-up all after-school activities for your kids? Do you have to buy as much stuff as you do? Do all long weekends have to be booked with vacations? Do you need to have as many social engagements?

Take a close look at your life and your family calendar. When you experience pain and struggle, more often than not, it is a sign that something needs to be changed.  Of course, some situations can't be changed, like having young kids, sick family members, or some drastic life changes, which may cause lots of struggles and stress.  It is unavoidable.  However, if your life is constantly in pain without obvious reasons, it must be related to the way you are leading your life.  Do you constantly push yourself to a limit even for trivial matters?  Do you constantly fill your schedule to the brim and don’t allow yourself to take a rest or enjoy yourself?

When you take a closer look you will see that trivial matters take up most of your time. Learn to dance with these little things, let go a little and see how life can suddenly be full of fun and joy. Treat yourself the way you would others, with love, respect and with a smile. Enjoy the art of letting go.
