The Hour of God

Some days you just need to jump into the vortex and let the Universe do its job.

I remember reading a book by someone who is quite respected in the spiritual community, Sri Aurobindo; his book, "The Hour of God", starts with the plea to stick to God's mission as if your life depended on it. Enlightenment, he says, is such a rare, once in 10 000 lifetime experience that you always need to stand ready to do the right thing by God. I stopped reading the book on page 1; it just sounded too "religious" to me. Yet, isn't that exactly what we do? Life knows when you need to show up to do the right thing. The System in fact knew your Hour of God long before you were born. All your relationships, places and life experiences have been chosen carefully to make it so.

It is not fun to go through pressure cooker situations but sometimes you just have use extraordinary measures to bring out the real you. Otto Rank used to say, "births should be quick", and every mother knows what he was talking about. So most likely you will face a day when you just need to jump into the vortex and let the Universe do its job. Don't worry, you don't have to do a thing, but please let go of any resistance. Just be crystal clear about your mission, and be willing to follow up your first step with the next, even if the sky is falling. Never mind a few tears, a little blood and the pain; She is always by your side and will see you through. Rejoice, the Hour of God is at hand.
