Divine Peace

Who says you can't go back,
been all around the world and as a matter of fact.
There is only one place left I want to go.
Who says you can't go Home!
(Bon Jovi, Who Says you Can't Go Home)

Lord Krishna went with one of his disciples to a near-by town. It was hot and Lord Krishna wanted to rest so He asked his disciple to get him some water from a well. The disciple left but when he reached the well he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. It was as if she put a spell on him, for all he could focus on was to be with that woman and he forgot all about Lord Krishna, and His request. Later that day he asked the father of that beautiful maiden for her hand; they got married and had four beautiful children.

Many years later a massive flood reached the land; they tried to escape but he could only hold on to his two youngest children. Helplessly he had to watch how his wife and his two teen-aged boys were consumed by the waters. He was a strong man and a great swimmer, but the fury of the stream was just too overwhelming; in spite of his super-human effort, he was knocked unconscious. When everything was over and he woke up at a river bank, he realized that even his two youngest had been taken away from him. He sunk to the ground and wept bitterly. Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder, it was Lord Krishna smiling, "You fell asleep my friend; I waited an entire hour for you."

You experience divine peace once you discover your spiritual mission and when you experience the magnificent connection with the Beyond. Sure, there are tears and bruises that life brings your way, but sooner or later you will feel that divine hand on your shoulder and all the turmoil and angst will be gone like waking up from a nightmare with the sun streaming into your bedroom. All your struggles and perceived catastrophes are nothing but a wake-up call to encourage you to start looking for the Way. Who says you can't go Home!
