No-Brainer

Do you know what cold sweat is? I have experienced cold sweat at work when one of my investment calls doesn't seem to work out. Or at home, when one of our boys seem to get injured in a scary way. Needless to say, it ain't a good feeling and we probably would all do anything to keep it away,

Along a spiritual path we steadily transcend to a higher spiritual plane. Sometimes it is gradual, and sometimes it is a swift break-through experience. However we might have transcended, once we have reached that new level there ain't no turning back. Temptations might knock on our door, but we soon figure that we can only move forward. The alternative is cold sweat for the very the reason that our system rebels when we are turning your back on your Self once we know the Way.

It is not that God is vengeful. It is that our belief system has gotten stronger and more focused: God wants us to be re-united with Her, but has given us free will to do so. In each chapter of our life we believe in whatever it is we believe in. When we were younger we were likely more split. Our spiritual magnet was covered with earthly stuff, and we experienced the push and pull of events and people very differently. Today when something clouds our spiritual antenna, it is just as if we have been hit by a ton of bricks.

Life does get easier along a spiritual path. There is the Way, and then there is that cold sweat feeling that we tried avoiding all our life. Sounds like a no-brainer, right?
