Lao-Tzu is a scientist. All the laws he is describing in the Tao Te Ching are true and can be observed by anyone who is willing to see the world with the eyes of an artist. Yet, in the Chinese Tao Te Ching, very much as in the Indian Bhagavad Gita, the laws of HEAVEN and earth can be found side by side. Every scientist who stumbles on spiritual laws eventually will be absorbed by the spiritual world for the very reason that next to HEAVEN everything else vanishes.
Chances are you will mind to be called the universe's straw dog. Yet, if you study biology, psychology and neurology, you cannot help figuring out that on one level all of us are just robots reacting to the priming and conditioning of our biological, ecological and societal environments. But please don't get depressed about that insight. GOD is beyond us, yet he is part of us for whoever likes to appeal to this FORCE. Make love your conditioning principle and your time here on earth will be a stroll in the park.
