Grounded in the Holy Now

Wherever you are, be there totally. (Eckhart Tolle)

Have you ever set up ambitious goals and then minded that the progress towards them seems way to slow? Just setting up these goals are causing pain in our life as we become impatient and want to fast-forward the movie until everything is accomplished and finished. So impatience, just like worry, is an ego trick to depart from the holy NOW.

But then, when you focus on what you can do today, see how your life shifts. Do your job well and have a good night's sleep afterwards. A new day will bring a new project. Focus on what needs your attention and trust life that all your goals will be met in time.

Impatience is the inability to just let it be. Worry is the desire to have protection against unforeseen events. Both are an escape from what is, from what needs to be dealt with and from what needs to be accepted. The ego is fickle, unfortunately, we can't do anything about that. What we can do, however, is to fall in love with what is coming our way here and now.

Soon we will be way too busy to think about anything else. Experience how your life changes once your focus changes.  Experience how you are finally grounded at this holy place and in this this holy moment.
