As I put my stories together for my third book, 'The Way of the Soul', which I plan to publish some time over the next 3 - 5 years, I realize a fundamental problem. These stories I am picking for the different chapters are not necessarily the 'truth', they are merely conjectures at this point. With will-power I can more likely than not make them true, but is each beautiful spiritual story-line really worth fighting for?
Reality is not set in stone. Our expectations and determination with which we pursue our beliefs creates the reality we experience. The stories we tell ourselves often become self-fulfilling. That's the Law of Attraction at work. But then, not every story turns out exactly as we planned it to be, and not every story ends up worth fighting for. As new interpretations pop up, and as our expectations and belief sets change, somewhere along the way we find more meaning in a new story line that develops and forget about the old one.
The truth is somewhere in the middle. We have expectations of life, just as life has expectations of us. Together we co-author our stories until it becomes a meaningful story line for us as well as GOD. Our spiritual path helps us understand who we truly are beneath the hood. The WAY helps us understand who we truly are, and helps us adjusting our beliefs and expectations until they all have become internally consistent. With Divine Guidance at our side, let's aim high, lets edit often and, eventually, let's hope for a Hollywood ending.
