Group dynamics are hard to predict, especially in a professional setting. A biting remark or an uncalled for snipe can easily come from left field. But then, sometimes when we expect it the least, an unexpected break comes our way; sometimes even a surprising act of kindness. I have given up anticipating the workings of the WAY a long time ago. I take it a day at a time, but am always on the lookout for incredible creativity and surprise, and eventually change. While it is hard for a spiritual traveler to comment on 'success' or 'failure' per se, one thing is for sure, plenty of spiritual insights are coming along the WAY.
As unpredictable and occasionally dissatisfying as relationships and group dynamics can be, without them we are hopelessly exposed to the workings of our ego. The less experienced travelers think that it is their spiritual right and duty to only hang out with the positive energies and ruthlessly cut out the negative energies in the name of spirituality. Yet, what they are overlooking is that this too is an ego trip. When life confronts us with negativity, it is often because we need to understand the homework we still have to do. The negativity is within us. Those annoying people are just our mirrors.
Surround yourself with people and a process you trust and do the best you can. Don't worry though, the workings of the WAY will make sure that you converge with the positive energies over time, while letting go of the negative ones who will naturally drift away.
