The Field

The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it. (Chinese Proverb)

Sadguru told the story of someone who set out to find Paradise. He walked and walked, and found a cave in the mountains. As he looked inside, he realized that there was a beautiful open space hidden behind the entry. It certainly looked like the Garden of Eden. Tired, he made stop at the first tree and figured he needed to sleep a little in its shade. He slept for a few hours and completely rested he woke up. It was then when he discovered how hungry he was. He thought of his favorite food, and suddenly there it was, right in front of him. He pictured his favorite drinks, and they too appeared. After he finished everything he suddenly got a little suspicious, "there must be some foul magic in this place if I get everything I am thinking off", he thought to himself. The moment this scary thought crossed his mind, ghosts appeared. "Oh no", he thought, "these ghosts are here to torture me!" That's what they did. In panic he thought, "If this continues, I will die." And then he died!

The world around us works a little like this, as the Law of Attraction folks rightly point out. We can mentally manifest, though there is certainly a lot more going on given that we all have disappointed dreams, and on the plus side, many of our worst fears don't materialize either. So how much creative power do we have? If there is some power to our mental manifestations, can we perhaps awaken to the Laws that rule us and our interactions with others?

I saw a presentation by a theoretical physicist who described the stuff you, I, and the Universe we live in are made off. Little energy units that are connected by what he called, the 'Field'. As he continued with his presentation it became clear that this Field was more an overlapping set of forces that connected everything. Science has found a way to combine everything in one big formula, called the Standard Model, combining gravitation, electro-magnetic and nuclear forces. He described it as one big and complicated System that no super-computer ever could come close to. We spiritual observers on the other hand would conjecture that this FORCE we are embedded in, complicated as it is, may in fact have been made for you and I to express our SELF with.

The world we grew up in is part of the FIELD, as is perhaps the Garden of Eden we can awaken to. Thinking about it, I compared the Field to the IPad I have in my hands. I am sure the inside of it is also pretty complicated, yet, it has been designed for me to creatively express myself as simply and effectively as possible. These are some simple metaphysical Laws that allow you to surf the Field with GOD's assistance:
Creation = Communication (In the beginning was the Word)
Love = Oneness (LAW of Love)
ego + self = SELF (The identity of personal freedom)
Creation = Conscious Will + Subconscious Belief Set (Law of Attraction)
When our creation is in accordance with love, the power of the Field will always be with us. Shutting our ego's interference out is our role though, GOD can't help us with that. The theoretical physicist said how intimidated he was by the complexity of the Field, yet for us spiritual travelers the set-up becomes as straightforward as Sadhguru's Wishing Tree. Sit in its shades with a loved one and manifest along the WAY. Stripped of the ego, the Field is always on your side.
