This is It

My overactive mind always fast-forwards current affairs: to the blessed time when the job pressures are gone; to the time when I no longer feel the weight of our boys’ private school education bills on my checking account. But you know what, this will also be the time when I no longer hang out with some of the smartest minds in the world. And unfortunately it will also be the time when  I will no longer feel the love and excitement of two growing boys roaming around at our home. So let’s please remind ourselves to be careful what we wish for!

This is it! It is either now or likely never. The ego will always tell stories why the carrot dangling in front of us has to be reached, never mind that our legs are tired from the long journey already. Let’s find ways to get our mind off the treadmill and let’s take a good look around. GOD is always present, no matter where we are, and no matter what the situation. We can connect to HER here and now and deal with all the worries as they present themselves. This is it. We are already HOME.
