Awakening to the Power of Life

"The everyday practice . . . is just everyday life itself. Since the undeveloped state does not exist, there is no need to behave in any special way or attempt to attain anything above and beyond what you actually are. There should be no feeling of striving to reach some “amazing goal” or “advanced state”. To strive for such a state is a neurosis which only conditions us and serves to obstruct the free flow of Mind. We should also avoid thinking of ourselves as worthless persons – we are naturally free and unconditioned. We are intrinsically enlightened and lack nothing.”
( Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche)

Everyone is on an Awakening journey. It is just that for many the journey is subconscious. Yes, they are asleep and dreaming, but subconsciously they are going everything right to be woken up on the fastest route possible. The Awakening journey then is like lucid dreaming. Yes, we are still dreaming but we do so lucidly. We are aware of the fact that we are dreaming, and we are also consciously exploiting life’s power to Awaken ourselves. The state of Enlightenment then is the point in time when there is nothing left to do. Prior karmic bonds have been worked off. No desire is powerful enough to interfere any longer with the Way. We are free to be Awake and leave the maya of the blue planet behind, or we are free to stay in bed a while longer and Awake a few of our friends.

Never look down on anyone. Never feel the need to lecture anyone. There is power in life. Life manifests the best of all worlds—from an Awakening perspective—for everyone.
