See life as is

She fell head over heels in love with him. The way he commanded the room. His wit, and intelligence. The way everyone looked up to him. Sure, she had her fair share of father figures in her life but Karl was different. They made passionate love that night, but the next morning she was in for a nasty surprise. As she saw him in his bathrobe with coffee mug in his hand, she noticed how frail looking his knees were. Suddenly, he looked so old and vulnerable. She had to look away. The sight was unbearable.

The ego is a feeling of scarcity, and an impostor wearing rose-colored glasses. Get taken in by it, and pain will surely come your way. Yet, the ego’s voice is a mirage. The feeling of scarcity is just that, a feeling waiting to be swept away like a cloud in the wind. We are always surrounded by abundance. When I read the story of the woman who fell out of love so easily, I became sad. Who knows what is right for her, letting go of her craving for father-figures, or realizing that our body can look frail at times.

Life is here to show us that we not an ego. We may have doubts, but Spirit will show us how to stand up to them. We may have unrealistic cravings, but Spirit will make us realize what truly matters to us. Life is here to demonstrate over and over again that abundance is ours to claim. See life as is; Spirit will show you how. Let love be your guiding principle, and the morning after will be as beautiful as the night before. Spirit guarantees it.
