Be Honest With Yourself

The capacity and willingness to be honest with yourself is your greatest guard against self-deception and deceit, and aligns you with your genuine aspiration. There is no greater challenge for a human being than to be completely honest with oneself as well as with others, and yet such honesty is absolutely necessary if we are ever to awaken from our dream of separation and live a truly genuine and undivided life--Adyashanti

I have observed myself being self-deception about my life.  I deceived myself believing that I was thankful for my life, but as a matter of fact, I hate it. I hate that I have to move to different countries every few years; I hate the feeling of leaving friends and family behind and living in a strange new place even though I may call it home at a later stage; I hate that I need to do it regularly and I don’t know where to call home; I hate that my life is stuck in this cycle and I cannot really do something else because most of my energy is used to adjust new environments and adjust to change.

Apparently, I cannot enjoy living a life of drifting. This is a really an awakening moment for me. When I am willing to face my truth and be honest with myself, then I am able to change my life.  Or I will keep drifting around globally and then keep complaining about my life. Apparently, today is the day to do something differently.
