When you hire someone, you better pick someone who is hungry. The novice might need a little direction in which way to turn her lust for success, but otherwise you just let her hunt for what’s meaningful to you as a boss.
Spiritual maturity should be defined as the absence of will, strive and restlessness. Serenity and love are the hallmarks of spirituality. A hunger for God is an oxymoron; God surrounds us, all we have to do is to be part of Her.
You may ask, ‘how does one find this serenity and love?’ Well, start with the restlessness, the will and the wish and do something constructive about what’s supposedly missing. A hunger for God beats repression and pretended love and serenity.
Action is hard while rest is easy. Restlessness is a conflict with our nature at the depth of our being. We are born to rest at the center of the circle watching the world spin, as Lao-Tzu once put it so well. So get your mission done and join us for tea.
