The karmas carry the seeds of their own destruction in them.
Sri Ramakrishna
There are no unconscious people. Everyone has a claim to Consciousness. Yet, there is unconscious behavior; we all do it. Every time we want something—or subconsciously long to get something—we are missing out on Consciousness. You may consider a search for God more noble than the hunt for profits and skirts, but anyone who is not completely present here now is lost in nowhere land, at least to some extent.
I once read the story of the murderer who became instantly enlightened, and it tells the entire story that we have no business classifying people’s spiritual awareness. The greedy CEO may have a bigger spiritual transformation after his daughter’s struggle with cancer than the renouncing monk who has meditated for years. Never count out anyone, don’t judge, live and let live.
Karma, desires and fears have the seeds of their own destruction embedded in them. That’s the matrix called life on earth that we are all dealing with. Everyone still has a little homework to do to break free, for some it’s love, for others it’s the claim for name and fame. We can look through our agenda; we can be mindful of our feelings and thoughts.
Find the freedom here and now, and if there is still a little homework to do to cut these karmic bonds then that’s fine too.
