When I started out my career in the financial industry I tried my best to help our investors but the timing was often off. I misread market psychology, and some unexpected events hit me with a force that took a long time to recover from. But then halfway into my tenure things started to turn around. I anticipated market imbalances, read market psychology and when those black-swan events could derail me only for a few weeks. Investing became fun, a little like surfing.
Awakening shortens the time between cause and effect. The problem that modern (wo)man faces is that the spiritual implications of actions are not recognized as it often takes years for karmic dues to show up. This changes drastically for a spiritual being. Karmic effects are understood immediately, and we would never sign up for anything that undermines our true nature. It is fun to ride divine energies, and even if we have a misstep now and then, the stumble simply becomes part of the dance.
