Change is in the air

I have always been interested in spirituality. At one point during my graduate studies this quest even became quite intense. Then life happened. I got married, found a pretty interesting and intense job, and spirituality got occasionally moved to the backburner.

Who can tell what brings about change. When our oldest was a toddler, he was quick on his feet. He always jumped out of his crib. I moved him into a bed but he ran around our house. I put a chair in front of his room but got bored sitting guard, so I started re-reading my library.

Maybe it was the inspiration of reading books I had long forgotten. Maybe it was the anticipation of my new calling as a spiritual writer. Whatever it was, shortly afterwards I had a transformative satori experience that launched a new path. For me that’s Awakening, the beginning of a new life.

The other day I took four books from my shelf, A Course in Miracles, the Tao Te Ching, the Bhagavad and the Ashtavakra Gita, just to browse a little in four amazing spiritual treasures. Who knows, maybe a new inspiration for a new book project comes about. Change is in the air.
