Face the problem and see the self in it

I remember enjoying Neale Walsch’s “Conversations with God” quite a lot in the early phase of my Awakening. In it, one theme that “God” repeated throughout the book series is that we have a choice. If we like warm weather we can opt to drive south, and if we catch ourselves driving north, we always can turn the steering wheel around.

The other day it occurred to me that this conclusion is really a 3D observation. In the so-perceived exchange of body, mind and world, conflicts abound, and we are called to do something about them. In contrast, when the higher energies prevail, conflicts never come about. Life as is speaks for itself and the actions arise naturally. It’s the cessation of self!

How to integrate both worlds? Didn’t “God” write the book after all, beautiful as it was? Not necessarily! The so-perceived 3D world needs life coaches and spiritual books like the Conversations with God. They help us with our decision making with incomplete information. The subconscious speaks for itself, and the perceived decision maker deals with the mess.

A life of purpose, surrender, golden rule, and self-improvement is useful until it is not. When the higher energies prevail, consciousness perceives conflict-free what the subconscious surmises. In fact, the subconscious created the conflict in the first place to spot the self at work. While facing and tackling the problem, spot the self behind it and the recurring pattern will be broken.
