Making friends with TINA

 My sister’s name is Tina, but our family connection is not what this post is about. Instead, it’s about an observation that I have had for a while, the feeling of there is no turning back when it comes to Awakening. TINA is an acronym that stands for There-Is-No-Alternative. 

 

It took me the longest time to get this, we are not on a path towards enlightenment. No, the Light always surrounds us. Embarking on a quest to find the Light is, well, not very useful. Instead, we are on a journey that helps us to get our self out of the Way.

Years I have spent

unwrapping the trapping

of a deluded life;

covered in binding

self made, created

by the actions of others.

It is this unfolding that

frees the soul;

becoming less that

you were;

freeing myself of the

past;

looking out beyond

my story.

 

That’s TINA in action, the letting go of self. A dripping stream at the top of the mountain may think there are alternative routes of traveling. The water running down the river as it heads towards the ocean has no choice whatsoever -we can’t change the way a river flows.
