Most people cannot notice and pay attention how they are at this present moment. That’s why we are suffering; our mind is lost.
Imagine there is a yellow curvy item in front of us. How can we identify it? First, our eyes have to see its shape, and then the information is sent to our brain. Then we search the memory in our brain for similar items and then come to the conclusion that it is a banana! This is a process of perception and cognition.
When our mind is lost, we will be occupied by a strong energy. Take the example that some people have a hard time getting noticed, while others easily get attention. The reason why we are attracted to some and not others is because of the same frequency that they are emanating. Everything we see from our eyes and hear from our ears are sent to our memory system, and trigger whatever remains unfinished and demands our attention. That is, they activate in us a frequency, or karma, and when we are triggered, we are lost. Because we cannot be present, neither can our mind.
Why do we keep repeating the suffering? We know we didn’t do anything to consciously hurt others, so why do we get caught in these traps? If we don’t know the reason, then how can we clear the energy? If we don’t clear our energy, how we can we liberate ourselves and be enlightened? You want freedom and you want liberation, but everything is just empty words without practice.
What traps us? It is the frequency we are dialed in which keeps us lost. If we can understand this, then we will know how to break free. It is not others or events which keeps us suffering. Well, if it is because of other people or events, then what’s our issue? Is it our mind. Our mind is lost.
How can a lost mind be brought back to its source, back to its original silence? We have to learn to observe, to be in contact with our deep consciousness, and take action accordingly. We have to practice what we learn. If we just stay at the level of knowledge, and realizing we are lost, knowing we have to observe and go deeper, but don’t take any action, then nothing is done. Practice what you learn is taking the necessary action.
