The wound is where the Light enters

The wound is the place where the Light enters you.

The passing year was a rough one for me personally. Sure, I am blessed enough that I am pursuing my dream of being a spiritual writer, but at home life wasn’t as harmonious as it can be. My wife still has both of her feet in a stressful professional life, and the college application process of our oldest put additional stress on all of us. With extreme willpower she managed to spur him on to get into a good college, which seemed at odds with my spiritual life philosophy of letting things pan out as they are meant to be. Yet, to be honest, when he finally got accepted in one of the top colleges in the country, I was also quite happy. After all, both my wife and I made a career out of our superb education, why shouldn’t our kids do the same?

I get that signal everywhere in life, I have a love-hate-relationship with competition. When I am on spiritually, everything clicks in a cooperative mindset. When I am not on, I am as competitive as anybody. Surely, the spiritual mindset is a much nicer environment to thrive in, so why that bi-polar outcome? The solution to the problem statement is actually quite simple. Life holds the answers as long as we face life as is and not as we project it to be. As 2024 rolls in I can have another go at it. Our younger son will face the college process as well. I already see noticeable changes. He is more of a self-starter and knows how to ask me for help when he needs it just as much as his mother on different matters. We are more of a team than we were last year around.

Spiritual living is like a frequency we can tune into. When we truly observe who we are at the deepest level we can spot the many lifelines thrown into our direction all the time. The solution to a problem is through it. Life encourages us to accept who we are and use the present moment as a jumping board to connect with the higher vibrations. We do not have to negate anything as long as we do not project our spiritual longings as life as is. I plan to spend more time in LA this year where our oldest resides and be the glue that connects the family between the two coasts. I am sure all the inspiration for my new book project will arise naturally when I put family first. That’s how life works, the wound is the place where the Light enters.
