We are human consciousness. With your partner you meet somebody who has different personality traits, different trigger points, different ways of perceiving and experiencing this world but you manage to “get” her. Your energies merge.
Along the partnership come in-laws and children. As you get older you also manage to see your own parents, grand-parents and siblings with new eyes. You start seeing humanity in the two family trees.
Next come neighbors, work colleagues, perhaps friends from different countries. It dawns on you that we are all cut from the same wood. You manage to step out of this personal story altogether and grasp human consciousness.
The whole can be felt, seen and understood. We can sit at the center watching the world spin, as the Tao Te Ching puts it so well. When the self melts in the sea of consciousness magic happens. Being, consciousness, bliss reigns.
