The next step in the evolution of humanity

Chess-masters do not mind the fact that they are powerless against AI, given that their status and potency is measured facing another human being. There will be pockets of professions that are immune to the advance of technological progress. For millions of others a lot will change though. Maybe there will be a handful of specialists who work together with AI to provide the best services to humanity, but countless others will feel outdated, outmatched by the power of nearly infinite computing power. How will they feel and what will they do? Actually, we had a taste of that period in Ancient Greece thanks to the life-supporting climate and the work of slaves. The ruling class spent its time in part partying and drinking, in part philosophizing and researching, and in part doing both.

The transition to the higher mode of consciousness is underway. If anything, the troubles of war, ecological struggle, cultural tensions and the absurdities of capitalism are signposts of the impending change. It’s not easy to let go of eons of conditioning but transcending them we must. The old model of “me, myself and I” is dying and what replaces it is only in appearance selfless living—it is the cessation of self altogether. It’s a joining of a stream of Consciousness that has always been around, but few had the powers to join these higher frequencies. This is changing now, and those who manage to connect are bound to make the joining of others much easier. I am not losing sleep over the question whether AI will ever be able to join this stream. In Oneness we are all one anyway, human, machine, animal, vegetation and material.
