As long as you seek for something,
you will get the shadow of reality
and not reality itself.
Shunryu Suzuki
The desire to rid ourselves of the self is the ultimate bypassing, that’s what somewhat said to me. Naturally, the quest to leave the self behind is a tough one. The conflicted yang aspect is the ability to spot all the drives that run us and understanding that they are in the way of true happiness. Like a river that merges with the ocean, we are encouraged to let go of everything that has been superimposed on us over the eons. But then, the natural yin aspect of the letting go exercise, when the magic and the beauty of walking the Way hits, getting lost in it is a child’s play.
