Is there any Truth in The Secret?

 The essence of the by now well-known secret is that the world is your oyster if you feel and believe it is. What’s good about the Law of Attraction is that it alerts us to the fact that we are conditioned and ruled by our believes about ourselves, others and how the world works. So, if The Secret is read by someone who has limiting beliefs in love, finance, professional development, etc., then the practice of embracing a mindset of abundance may actually have some positive effects.

 

Ultimately, however, The Secret is not broad enough in that it is still based on the conditioned view that we embody a character that needs developing. The true secret is that everything in life is attracted to remind us of the fact that we are universal Consciousness and not a person. The universe is already our PAL—Peace, Abundance, Love. There is no person behind this power. Yet, reminding ourselves every morning that we are PALs might be a good method to practice.
