Modern people live under the assumption that they are independent of others and the material world. This is a belief and may in fact prove to be experienced that way for as long as they believe it. The other world view is that body, mind and world are One. However, if we want to exploit this paradigm by deciding that this world is our oyster, then a new contradiction appears. This entity that wants and has aversions is fictional. Observed reality is bound to clash with this made up game plan. No, the way to live the “body, mind and world are One” paradigm is to understand that they all are appearances in Consciousness. Act from the understanding of Consciousness and all separation, external frictions and self-induced interferences disappear.
If this all sounds a bit theoretical and not very practical, the old spiritual wisdom of “Not my will but Thine” allows us to live as if the world was our oyster.
