High Energy

Experiencing 10 000 Volts with a 110 Volt application doesn't end well as you might imagine. You may have heard of Anastasia, the Russian mystic who lives in the Siberian forests. Her parents, apparently spiritually fairly developed beings themselves at the time, tried to harness the healing energies of the ringing cedars in Siberia but unfortunately got electrocuted by doing so. They tried to harness the divine power but couldn't handle it. In India, the guru - disciple relationship tried to overcome this power conversion problem over the millennia. The handful mystics were always open to spending unlimited time with some spiritual seekers, hoping that the decade long synchronization and purification process would allow them to take over the burning torch at one point.

In today's modern world you have always the Tao to lean on if you really want to experience this divine energy. At one point in my life I just discovered that life is really optimal in allowing you to spend as much time with this divinity as you can personally handle it. I use up lots of my attention and energy at work and by raising my family and so have limited time to devote my attention to God. There was a time when I minded that whereas today I understand that these " downtimes" are in fact what give me the inspiration to connect with the divine Force again. Every encounter is divine. Today, I experience Her presence in all my interactions with my soul sibling and in everything life confronts me with.

The Tao is the mechanism that converts the 10 000 Volt experience and makes it readily available for your 110 Volt consumption. While it is your birthright to experience Her directly, be patient, follow Her step by step instructions, but always stand ready to receive Her on one blessed day with full Force. Wherever God is, a sophisticated electrical converter stands ready to assist. Enjoy Her power.

Mind the Dark Force

The spiritual community has made a big step forward by putting the God versus devil struggle a bit in the background and instead internalizing the divine as well as destructive force inside ourselves. The ego versus soul discussion has made this transition complete. Yet, we still feel something is missing. Does is really make sense to feel bad about our desires, the aspirations of what we want to have or what we want to be? Isn't there a good versus bad ego in us? Why can't we celebrate the innovative ways we find to express our desires while still operating in harmony with the cosmic design?

Anastasia (in the ringing cedars series) spoke of the dark force and this expression made a lot of sense to me since I feel its presence in me as well. No, it is not the desire that is the problem; the problem is that the existing dark force inside of us starts running with your desire and literally takes you for a ride. So I would differentiate the Cosmic force (the Tao), the self and the dark force to express the eternal struggle of good and evil inside of us. What do you think?

Battling the Dark Forces

I borrowed the expression 'dark forces' from Anastasia (by Vladimir Megre), a book series that I would recommend to everyone who likes to read books on spirituality that are a little off the beaten track. The spiritual literature has gravitated towards the ego concept in recent years, which stands in contrast to the soul. Sometimes we also distinguish the little I from the so-called True-Self. I think these are pretty good approximations of the battle that goes on inside of us, but I think we should still refine our vocabulary a bit more to really get a handle of the force that pushes us off our spiritual path.

When I meet a soul sister in the street, I can look at her eyes, her face, or simply her 'gestalt'. In contrast, I can choose to look exclusively at her body. At work, I can view a colleague as a soul brother on a secret mission to look out for me, and I can view him as a threat to my career  and can try to undermine him. Again, the choice is entirely up to me and you and, in response, the Source will shuffle Its cards very differently.

We are all taken in by these dark forces at times. You then choose fear over love as the Course in Miracles points out, but it is still the same Divine you afterwards, and it is certainly in your power to correct your misstep in the next moment and to return to the path of love and divinity. The spiritual path traveler will try to keep the dark forces at bay while being able to listen to the gentle and quite voice of love in the background. Unfortunately, the cry for sex, status, wealth and power is so loud that sometimes the call for reason is overheard. But fortunately there is the Tao that reminds us moment by moment to make the right choice. If you happen to call the dark force ego, then I would deviate a little from Freud's concept and call this holy connection, the Tao, the It. If you truly take the time and have the attention to listen to Its gentle invitation moment by moment, then the battle is over and the dark forces have run their course.
