The wall of discontent

Feelings come and they go. The highlights in our life are followed by the lowlights, and then a new cycle starts. The problem is that we associate a story with these fluctuations.

“She is the love of my life.”

“Why does she hurt me so much?”

“After that promotion I shall be set for life.”

“If it wasn’t for him, I would be happy!”

It’s a treadmill that will never end until we have learnt the insight that all these stories are untrue. The only meaning these stories have is to help us look behind the façade.

Face the wall of discontent once, without attaching a story and realize that there is a presence completely disconnected from “this and that”. Dive into the wall of discontent and watch it dissolve.

Only “I” remains.
