Uninstalling subconscious programs

I clicked on a few Trump YouTube videos during his trial and now get bombarded with videos that “prove” his dementia and incompetence. I know for a fact that someone else gets exactly the same videos about Biden. My son showed them to me. When it comes to the battle of hard-core MAGA proponents and democrats, there is no reasoning. These are programs running, just like the war between Israel and Palestine, Russia and the Ukraine, or the destruction of our environment by corporate greed.

Some feel called to take on these programs on a political or corporate level, but just as importantly, we can watch these programs within ourselves. Traumatic memories of the past making themselves known, or conditioned longings posing as subconscious agenda. When we are young, we don’t see them and consider these programs as our conscious choice, but when we get older, we start seeing programs at work. Fact is, we are our parents, our ancestors, our culture. Once recognized, we have a shot at breaking free.

George Gurdjieff (1866-1949) was a spiritual teacher who recognized these programs at work. Suzhen Liu is a modern teacher who encourages us to face these buried energy links and release them. She also teaches Family Constellation classes that aim to uninstall these inter-generational energy links. The mainstream of spiritual teachers appeals to our conscious insights. “You are the one listening to the voice in your head,” they say, and then they provide hacks how this subconscious robot supposedly can be controlled.

Let’s take a good look at our lives. When it comes to spiritual living, the proof is in the pudding so to speak. If the popular spiritual literature fails to bring the serenity and love we all deserve, just maybe it’s time to take a closer look at the programs that are running us and finding ways to uninstall them.
