Be Self, or be self-aware

Every moment we encounter the “me”—in our thoughts, in our feelings and in our encounters and interactions with others. Before we took this story of “me, myself and I” as the center—as the reference point—to evaluate what happens inside and outside of us as good, bad or neutral. Now we perceive it as something happening to us as a small part of a grander something we awaken to.

Life is designed to show us who we think we are, just as life’s purpose is to allow spirit to express humanity. Lord Rama once asked Hanuman, “Who are you monkey?”, and Hanuman responded, “I am You when I remember,

otherwise, I worship You!” In today's language we could say, “I am S (ilence) E (nergy) L (ove) F (low), and when I temporarily forget, at least I am self-aware.”
